1968 Winchester 1200 Riot 12ga

I've got a super solid shotgun in this Winchester. Paid $165 for it 20 years ago. It make an excellent home defense weapon. And it's just plain fun to shoot stuff with within 25/30 yards. I keep 0 buck in it for defense.
Anyone else have one?

I have a Model 1200 trench gun. It's 1968 mfg. in the low 400,000 serial number range. What the serial number of your gun? Is it in the same 400,000 range?

I hunted with a 1200 for a few year and then on my 14th birthday the 1200 was mine. I had pulled it out of the gun case and there was a note taped to the side of the stock. Dad had transferred ownership of said shotgun to me. While it is only a 20 gauge I loved it. I still shoot it regularly 54 years later.

We had some of those in the arms room when I was in the mil. Some even had factory wood with decorative designs, but they were all in mil configuration- swivels, heat shield, bayonet lug.

Mine is in the high mid 400,000 range
