Hey guys. First off I have 0 percent experience at gunsmithing and do not plan to do this on my own. I am running this idea by you guys so that you can see if it is conceptually sound. Below is a picture of what I plan to have done to a Mosin Nagant trigger housing. The Magazines that will be used are chambered for 7.62x54r so there should be no issue there. I have see this done to other Nagants by the Polish (maybe not sure on the nationality). I know your going to laugh your ass off that i did this in paint but it is just to give the fabricator some Idea of what I am shooting for. Thanks for any help!
This is the one adapted by the Polish I believe. I cant find a better picture so I am just guessing on what is going on internally.
Thanks for any input guys I would greatly appreciate your help!
Here is one I found of someone else attempting the build just for your reference.
So far I have bumped into some issues just in theory. The main issue is how to open the feed lips of the magazine wide enough to allow the bolt of the face to pick up the round off the magazine and the locking lug to pass through, while still not being too large for the magazines to come flying out. In theory I believe I could do away with the interrupter possible since the magazine feed lips does its job. But if I open up the magazine to where I would need a interrupter then all the rounds will fall out regardless.
The other issue is the ejector needs to pass through the bolt face and a magazine feed lip would block that form happening. Those are the 2 main issues that I am facing right now
