200-220 grn bullets in 8x57

Well, I pulled the trigger on a sporterized iron sight mauser to use as a thick country deer and elk gun. I'm going to start with 170 grn speer hot cores to work up muh deer loads. I have been poking around and would maybe like to go for the 200 and 220 grn loads but there aren't many in my books. Yes, I know most of these were designed for 8mm mag but I'm still curious. I have the lyman 49th and Speer 14th and they really aren't all that helpful. I just ordered the 7 dollar 8x57 load book, but what other resources should I look at for these heavier loads? I dont wanna get dangerous, but I also want to explore the strength of the round a little bit.

I'm also curious about solids as well because we got cats and bears where im at.
