My wife picked up a brand new Remington 1100 Competition with 30" barrel, carbon fiber adjustable stock with recoil reducer, nickel plated receiver, and 5 Briley chokes. She needed a gun with an adjustable stock to get it to fit her correctly so when I saw this one in the gun shop I had to have her look at it. She pooh-poohed it to start with until she mounted the gun! The look on her face was priceless..."this one is coming home with me" she said. It's a really sweet looking and shooting gun. So far she has put 200rd through it on the skeet field and is really enjoying shooting it. I know the "B" gun guys will be around to trash the 1100's, but I personally don't think you can go wrong with an 1100. I think Remington has done a great job with the features on this gun for the price point. You get a whole lot of gun for ~$1k. The shop ordered the gun for a customer 7 months ago and the customer came in looked at and said he didn't want it. So the shop priced it to sell...and it did! The only thing better than getting a new gun yourself is having your wife get one and be more excited than you ever been about a new gun! I would recommend this gun for anyone looking for a new 1100. Just thought I'd share an 1100 experience!
