Any one else getting excited about the up coming Dove season?
The last couple of years, I took the first two days of the season off work (Thursday and Friday)
to chase those light gray feathered Rockets!
I'll be shooting my 11-87 with a IC choke and #6 steel shot on public land in Ky.
What are you all shooting this year?
Best of luck to all !!

I'll be behind a 1954 built Remington Wingmaster 870 16 gauge like always! Wondering how our drought will affect the fly through traffic I get. Yeah, pretty excited!!

I’ll be hunting with my upland bird gun, Browning B80. I have a “new to me” 2 3/4” barrel so the gun now reliably ejects light loads so I’ll be shooting 1 oz reloads at 1300 fps, same as my skeet load. Probably run the skeet choke but maybe the IC.

My 11-87 20 ga. with 1 oz. loads of #7 1/2 shot.

My 2 strips of millet/milo/sunflowers should be just right when the opener rolls around on Sept. 24th. The trouble is it is also teal season and bow season for deer then. ...Decisions, decisions, decisions........

I was in town Tuesday for a couple of appointments , so I went in 2 Walmart’s looking for shells . I got lucky the first one that I went to had both 20ga and 12ga shells . I bought 6 boxes of each . I will be shooting my dad’s Browning A5 12ga and a Weatherby SA-08 20ga . I registered for my HIP last week . We set up some line poles near some sunflower and cornfields Saturday . I am ready , I just wish that I could hit one . I don’t have a problem hitting clays , but doves are a different story .

It’s coming up so soon. I need to get the gear about and decide which shotgun goes. Depends on the heat and how far I want to drag things into the field. The 20 ga Benelli Nova usually gets opening day duty.
