This year I am thinking of buying a 2022 Pennsylvania hunting license.
Just checked and resident licenses go on sale next Wednesday July 13th.
Nonresident licenses go on sale next Friday July 18th.
A Pennsylvania nonresident license is just over $100.
I was just talking about this yesterday with brother back in Upstate New York about hunting Pennsylvania again.
Looks like it will happen this year, haven't hunted in Pennsylvania for over twenty years. We always did good hunting in Susquehanna County. When I take my grandson back to Upstate New York in October for small game hunting we will have to gain permission again where we use to hunt before.
What I liked about hunting both New York and Pennsylvania is Pennsylvania always opened up a week after New York season. So you have the best days of hunting in both states and from where we will be in New York is only a half hour drive to where we will be hunting in Pennsylvania.
Plus Pennsylvania has some fantastic state game lands.

As a guy who loves to hunt, enjoys road trips and New places. I appreciate when a state has out of state hunting licenses available that are reasonably affordable for regular folks.

Hey I appreciate the heads up. It's been over two decades so I need all the help I can get.
Are you any where near Susquehanna or Bradford County?

I just bought my non-resident Pennsylvania hunting license online. When it comes it I'll send indor a doe tag for North-Eastern Bradford County.i bought the non-resident hunting license and gave a donation to the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

August 1st New York State hunting licenses go on sale.
I will buy mine on the 1st and apply for two doe tags.
Both states are very affordable to hunt in for non-residents.
Each small game -big game combination non resident hunting licenses are just over $100 for each state.

There is plenty of State Game Lands and State Forest available to hunt on.
The past three years hunting in New York I recieved one buck tag and fourdoe tags and you can get up to too doe tags transferred over to you from people who bought them and will not be using then.

I take my grandson back to New York for two weeks of small game hunting then I go back for a month of deer hunting.
Generally New York deer season opens a week before Pennsylvania deer season opens so you have two best days of deer season a week apart form one another.
I love the first day of deer hunting.
Where I stay in Upstate New York is only a half an hour drive to Pennsylvania and another twenty to thirty minutes to where we will be hunting in PA.

I sent you a invite for deer hunting New York in a PM.

Well got all set for hunting Pennsylvania, got the hunting license & one anterless deer tag.
The over the counter anterless deer tags go on sale Monday. I tried calling the county clerk and she was not in yesterday to see if I could buy another anterless deer tag over the phone or have my brother pick one up for me.
We'll see come Monday.
I
Monday the New York hunting licenses go on sale.
So I'll be on the phone with them for my non-resident hunting license, trapping license and a bow stamp.

I had a 117 acre farm I hunted in for the past 10 years in Susquehanna county. Lost that this year because the owner decide to sell. Went in around 3 weeks on the market! Took many a buck and doe there.

My tag came via email. I just had to print it. I don't know if this is a good idea. I can see the dishonest hunters printing more than one. As of now i know some who use their tags just to get the deer out if the woods and home. And use it over and over.

Im guessing mine came via email since i have an account with the game commission. My neighbor got his postal mail. They are talking about getting rid of the pink envelopes.

I hunt with my brother back in Upstate New York and this year we both bought non resident licenses in Pennsylvania.
We both applied for the first round of anterless deer permits and both got anterless deer tags.
Today we mailed in for the second round of anterless deer tags.
Me have a bunch of New York doe Tage so we are good on Tage.
We hunt the entire season and are pretty successful so we are set for tags. We have family and friends we give venison to plus we have what we need for the year.

We haven't hunted Pennsylvania for well over twenty years.
It will be fun hunting PA AGAIN.

I think it was last year it was the first year the season opened on the Sat. after Thanksgiving not the Monday. That sort of killed my hunting in PA. I would stop at my brothers house on Friday (425 miles) then leave on Sat. for PA (475 miles). I just don't feel like doing a 16 hr. drive any more.
Things look good right off my back deck though! There are two more off frame in second picture just as big as the rest.

Flights are fairly reasonable and hunting with friends & family is priceless.
You do have some nice deer in your neck of the woods though.
What's your limit on deer in NC?
My cousin lives there but doesn't hunt anymore.
