21 SFs are out.

A few Glock 21SFs showed up at work yesterday.

They are very comfortable. It feels like you're holding a .45GAP, which makes me think this should put the final nail in the .45GAP's coffin.

That new light rail is kind of odd.

I think many will like the ambidextrous mag release, one of the Southpaws at work was hailing it loudly. I'm not sure if the mags from the older .45s will work in the SF because of this, I'll have to try it out today.

So far they seem pretty sweet. I'm anxious to try one out.

yeah i handled one not to long ago and i still can't hold it comfortably. i have small hands though. i wish they would make a single stack model the size of the 21.

btw the 21sf mags will work in the 21 but the old 21 mags will not work in the 21sf. or so they say.

I like the simplicity of Glocks and their looks...i LOVE the reliability and the brand name...but they are just ergonomically retarded.

Yeah, you can use the SF mag in the regular 21, but not the old 21 mags in the SF. The SF mags have a second groove where the release latches.

Yeah because of that ambi-mag release. Too bad they had to include the gigantic 1913 rail...I wonder how soon holsters will come along that can take the new frame, if any at all?

The grip is slightly shorter (from front to back) and a little more radiused. It also has magazine release buttons on both sides.

I handled one at an outdoor expo. With the "regular" GLOCK 21, I have to hold the gun slightly sideways in my hand just to get the full pad of my fingertip (not just the very tip) on the trigger. With the SF it is not quite as bad. (I'm a man with medium-sized hands.)

At the same venue I also handled a S&W M&P .45 (not yet in full production). Partially because I'm already a big fan of the M&P, but also because it fit my hand much better (being only very slightly larger than the 9mm/.40), I liked it better. FWIW, this one also had a manual safety. I was told this would be an option.

OMB says you can order it with regular or new style rail.
