Has anybody used the Varmit Nightmare Xtreme 22cal .224 dia 55grain premiumsoft point bullets from Midsouth shooters? I am looking to buy some seems like a good price.

Been shooting them for the last 4 years. Mainly in a Rem788 in .222rem with good results both for accuracy and terminal performance. Just got another batch of 500 in and am working up loads for a .223 Savage Axis and a Stevens 22-250.

I got 500 of them about a month ago. Checked about 30 of them on my digital scale they were all within a 10th of a grain of each other which is pretty good for a low cost bullet. I bought them to shoot in my 2 AR's a mini-14 and a Howa bolt action .223. So far they will shoot in the AR's moa, and in the Howa about 3/4" moa, and the mini 14 the first 3 rounds from a clean barrel a moa or a bit more.

Ive shot the regular 55gr soft points and the "extreme" 50gr soft points, in two 22-250s and a .223rem. The 55s were generally good for ~1 moa and the 50grs seemed to do better ~.75moa easily.

Theyve performed well on coyotes, though somewhat destructive through the 22-250.

I agree they are a good price, Ill get them again.
