I am really surprised I couldn't find info on this anywhere, so figured I'd ask you guys.
I have a Russian TOZ-17 .22 rifle that has 11mm dovetails on the receiver. The sights are ok, but I would really like to have some kind of aperture sights. Is there any reason that the type of diopter sights that seem popular with air guns won't work? Like this for example:

I mean, as far as recoil goes, most airguns have more than this .22...but is the 11mm dovetail the same on airguns as it is on european-style .22s? (like the CZ-452, for example)?
