It's your dedicated toilet gun?
To be fair, my gun room is next to the bathroom.Gives a whole new meaning to “backdrop”

As the old saying goes, "it's better than a sharp stick or harsh words".
My only thought is, how much are you gaining (or maybe more importantly, losing) balistically, in such a short barrel over a .22LR?
The first time I saw that picture I wondered if it was a glue gun missing it's electrical cord.
That's nice but doesn't have anything to do with this.IMO 9mm is the baseline for self defense carry options. I also do not trust rimfire enough to carry for anything other than a pest/snake gun out in the yard. Also, 22mag from a 2 inch barrel is probably less powerful than 22lr from a 6 inch barrel.
A quick and very simple test is to set up a swinging steel gong and shoot it with each caliber in guns have have close to the same barrel length. There is definately an energy difference. I consider the 22 mag to be a nasty little beast in the noise department when fired from a handgun.

I could never figure out why no one can make a nine shot 22 mag j frame style revolver now. High Standard had the nine shot Sentinel Mark series in the 80s. Never heard of one blowing up. And yet Ruger, S&W can't follow up on this in this century.I would like it if Ruger made their .22 WMR LCR a seven-shot like the S&W 351. The J-frame rimfire triggers are... not great, but the seventh round is. I've always wanted to get one or the other of these as a belly gun for deep concealment or when weight is extremely critical, but the poor trigger on the S&W and the missing seventh round on the Ruger has always ended up stopping me.
I didn't know I had to connect the dots lead people by hand and spoon feed anything. I asked specifically about the 22 magnum, no other caliber. Or do I have to say that as well in a post titled .22 magnum?Post 32, re: Post 30.
The OP did also ask what is carried and why, without specifying .22Mag.
That 2nd question opens the thread up to just about anything.
