We had a BSA single shot falling block come into the shop over the weekend. It's marked .220 Long Rifle. Can't seem to find anything on the caliber. Is this the same as .22 Long Rifle? Or is it some obsolete caliber? It appears to be very similar to .22 LR, if it's not the same.
Beautiful wood stock and blueing. It has an older unmarked scope. No iron sights and a heavy barrel. Very nice rifle.
Anyone know what this rifle might be worth?

Prewar 2 BSA martini 22 long rifle. mk 1 mk 2 or m12/15 . I think the ones made for export in the 1950s were marked 22 long rifle. The model 12/15 were made until 1955 when the international model was introduced and made till 1986 . Bob Adams has a page on them adamsguns.com .
