I picked up some cases out at the range, after the Police left our range,\
the boxes were american eagle,The head stamp on the case have in tiny print, F-C 223 Rem.the primers are crimped,I thought i seen here or else where, that the case are made by L-C .
Does any one know who makes the case for fed,?I have Reg F-C brass that the primmer isnt crimped, and the F-C on the case head are bigger in print.

American Eagle is Federal brass and had crimped primers long before they took over LC Munitions factory. So, it's no guarantee that it's LC brass.

The only thing that I use FC brass for is reloads that I don't plan to pick up later (blastin' stuff). Others use it but I have experienced issues with loose primer pockets with FC brass and I don't load hot.

LC brass should be marked as such.

FC brass is pretty much junk. The primer pockets are very loose. The bunch of Federal JHP I bought had crimped primers and it's not worth the effort to prep them to only get maybe 1 more firing out of them. Avoid FC brass.

thanks for the info.

I cant find that web site that will I.D brass,I have it some where,If any one has it or knows it .please post it,
I wont mess with that FC brass i have enough of Rem,brass,to play with,

I've used a lot of FC brass, and have found it to be quite reloadable, given its limitations. I make no effort to achieve maximum loads with this stuff, though, so I'd listen to those who routinely push the envelope. With my reloads, the neck will crack before the primer pocket opens up.

ball m193

I had bought a few K, when it was a lot cheaper,It came in white boxes,marked 20 Butir 5.56 ball m193 Lot 81 MAL 12-82

I pull some bullets and scaled the powder, they weighed 27.1 to 27.2
I reloaded them with 25 grs of that powder,And put a 55gr,hornady psp ,col is 2.225,I'll use them in my 233 bolt gun,i did that before they shot great, pressure was not high, good groups too,
the primmers have the crimps,I use a drill bit and just drill litely the ring just to get a slight bevel.i dont have a problem setting primmers,
Are thses cases just as good as the Lcs they sell?
I cant see buying something i have lots of,thats just as good

I just bought some American Eagle tactical XM 193 for $8.95 at a local gunshop. Since it has glued shut boxes, I could not see what the cases were. Upon getting in the car, I opened the box to find they were loaded using LC-08,(with the nato + in circle), brass. It is 55 FMJ ammo. Today I shot it at 100 yds in my scoped bushy 20" H-bar. It shoots as good as my normal handloads just at one inch. Beats the heck out of any other white/yellow box or the federal wally world apcray.

Case price was $189.00, I will get at least one, probably two cases next week. Yes the primers are crimped, but my RCBS crimp swager will take care of that. The box back says loaded by Federal Cartridge Company Anoka MN.
