Probably Hornady or Sierra.
They are more accurate then mil-sup type FMJ from Winchester, Rem, etc, but still not as accurate as about any other bullet with a closed jacket base and open jacket tip.
For blasting & plinking ammo, it probably doesn't matter.
Go for the best price you can find.
For best accuracy and shooting little groups, it matters a bunch and additional cost is well worth it..

Hornady's 55 FMJ is possibly the best and another reason is that they are found in bulk and usually cheaper. Hornady's 55 grain Spire Point can also be found in bulk and usually a little bit more accurate than their FMJ. I'd go with Hornady because they are sold at bulk prices.

I bought 1000 .223 FMJ bullets over Christmas when they were on sale for $68, Midwayusa. According to user reviews, these are the best FMJ bullets around.
For the record, the Hornady 55 gr spire point's, which are slightly more expensive, will group 1.5" at 100 yards from my Mini-14. These shoot about as well as match bullets from the Mini.

My Sako heavy barrel .222 Mag will shoot the Hornady 50 or 55 Gr Spire points into 1/4" groups if I do not screw it up. I guarantee the 55 Gr Hornady FMJ will not do that. I'll bet the house on it.

I'm with Redneck on this one. For slightly more money the 55 grain soft points of various flavors will generally be more accurate than FMJ's.
The good part about going with the soft points is the fact that you can use them for hunting if you like. Many states don't allow the use of FMJ's for that purpose.

For me, I like Armscor 55g FMJ because they are the least expensive that I could find! So, perhaps they aren't perfect and perhaps another group might shoot tighter. Who cares?
If I can hit a basketball size rock with open sights freehand at 100 and 200 yards with them nine shots out of ten, they are good enough for me!

Hornady bar none. Much more accurate than the other bulk bullets out there and can get them for the same or less money!!!!

I have been using the Hornady bulk 55 grain FMJBT in my AR and been very happy with the accuracy.

I'm having good luck with the Hornady 55 gr FMJBT bought in bulk. I get 1.25" - 1.5" groups @ 100 yds from a 20" AR with various loads pretty consistently. I think the ammo & rifle are capable of more and I am the lowest common denominator in the equation.

I like these a lot, and its hard to justify buying pulled FMJ bullets for a little cheaper when the SP bullets are under $90/K.

Hornady 55 gr FMJ are the best FMJ bullits I have used, but tops for 55 gr is their JSP. I use a lot of them in Mini 14 and AR's.

Most of my reloading with jacketed bullets has always consisted of some mixture of hornady and winchester (Hornady bullets, Winchester brass, primer). Last year I thought I would give the winchester 55 fmjs a try. That was a big mistake. Some of the bullets were pointed while others were more of a fmj round nose. On some the lead base was not completly filled. It was normal to have a col variance of .015 and some varied more. I have had better luck with pulled bullets. I did pick up 3000 of the hornady 55 fmjbt when midway had them on sale. These are more uniform than what the winchesters are. They were also cheapier. I do believe that the hornadys are on sale now, but I may be wrong. If they are not you can google midway usa coupon code and you will usually find a rebate code. Also somtimes glocktalk.com has an advertisement for midway and has a coupon code.
