A few people have posted that. I don't remember seeing any shooting reports but this stuff is odd. Real M193 isn't stamped as such on the brass so who knows what this really is.

That and it's .223 not 5.56 so it just doesn't make much sense to me.

But, never shot it so it might be just fine.

yea i was thinking the same thing about that its .223 and not 5.56. The thing is, I don't think they are claiming its actual mil surp ammo vs. just manufactured by a company that makes it.

I am sure someone on here has used 'Canned Heat' in .223 that can give you a proper review of it.

Canned Heat is very nice remanufactured ammo. I've shot a lot of it and never had any problems.

But it is reloaded, not new if that is a concern.

Well, if I could find good quality new ammunition for around the same price I would much prefer that.

Oh sure, and I don't care that it's remanufactured but there are some people that don't like that. And the fact is that even good ammo like Georgia Arms will void many firearm warranties since it's "reloaded".

I bought a thousand Canned Heat .223. I've also purchased some 9mm from them in the past, which gave me no problems. In the .223 I found several rounds that were a little oversized at the case mouth. (I use a case gauge to check every single round I put through my AR.) Whether they would have caused a problem in the rifle, I don't know. I use it for practice.

Shot almost 500 round of the PRVI both the 62 grain (lead core) and the 55 grain which is M193 equivalent. Both have performed well. Wideners has the 200 round battlepacks. I have to pick up a few more. Not much in the way of brass cased ammo that will shoot as well for the price.

P.S. I have found that the Brown Bear 62 grain is good shooting ammo, better than the Silver Bear which doesn't make any sense because they are both made by Barnaul. Both are better than Wolf but the Brown Bear was super accurate in both my AR's. Not as clean as brass and you have to watch out for the lacquer buildup but it was cheap. I bought it in 120 round bundles for $30. I have a hard time reloading at $5.00 a box these days so I may just have to buy a ****load.
