While stationed in Alaska, an arms room on the ground floor was broken in to and three racks of M16s were stolen.
The perps waited till 4:00am, stole a deuce and a half from the motor pool down the street, ran it through the wall, cut the chain to the racks, loaded up three racks (30 rifles), and headed out to the back fourty. The truck was recovered later that day along with the empty racks, no body was caught.
It must have been either a current sevice member or a former one to locate the area the arms room was located and to know how tired and confused the CQ would be on a Saturday at 4:00am.
