2A repeal?

Personally, I think it's a good thing, and I think there's an activism angle that can be had here. I'm tired of the 'slowly boiled frog' method of enacting one gun control law after another, and slowly whittling away our rights.

It would actually be better if the left decided to just go after the 2nd Amendment directly. After all, our constitution was written in a way that makes it hard to modify, and there is insufficient support (politically and nationally) to repeal the 2nd Amendment. But, if the gun movement finally started directing their efforts in that direction, perhaps we could have some real talks about what the 2nd Amendment is actually about. Maybe then we could stop all of the ancillary nonsense and focus on the singular issue: do we all have the inherent right to arm ourselves for defense of self and nation, or not?

I've participated in a lot of mixed-company arguments on gun control lately. Personally, I'm encouraging the gun control advocates to go after the 2nd Amendment directly. At least it's an honest political fight at that point, and I think some of them might actually learn how important it is along the way.

So, the next time you see someone advocating gun control, encourage them to seek a repeal of the 2nd Amendment!

There is always someone opining the 2nd should be appealed every large Anti push. It is such a complex process with such difficult goals to meet that it is unlikely for enough states to ratify a change to the Bill of Rights.

Someone saying it doesn't make it happen.
