I may have to look more into the SP101 in 327 since it can handle such a wide variety of loads.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

I have an sp101 3 in. 327, good shooter what ever the ammo. I load mostly 327 and 32H&R but have shot others. It would be worth the time spent looking. Local dealer said sp101 will be in his place 0ne or two days and gone.

Smith and Wesson Model 63

I've got a S&W 63 in 22 Long Rifle with a 3" barrel. J frame very handy new manufacture with the lock. I bought it in February at a gun shop in Wendell, NC which sell online. Price was $689 new. Handy and fun to shoot! Like the old Kit Guns! They still had them in stock last Saturday!

To keep it on topic, 22 mag out of a pistol is brutally loud. My dad has a single six convertible and after shooting a possum without ears in with 22 mag I switched to 22 shorts.

I have a 357 4" sp101 ruger that's not a bad woods gun but a little heavy. You might want to look into a 32, I'm starting to. Not as much blast on the ears but good power for rabbits.

Single six in 327 mag looks interesting however if it came with a shortish barrel and birdshead grip.

You bet the .32 long revolversare more gun than a .22 but the .22 mag is a powerhouse! I have a New Model Single Six 6" that really takes advantage of the .22 mag!
Nevertheless, I still want a short barrel .32 revolver as my hands are weak from a minor stroke. My Chief hurts to shoot.
