000BUCK--That is a transitional statement to link statements being made with a conclusion or to link supporting statements to something that is contratdictory to what was just said.

The mountain is tall.
The mountain is cold.
The mountain has thin air.

However, having said that, it is possible for an experienced climber to make it to the top of the mountain.

It is a transitional statement that is often taught to people that are beginners in classes like Communications 101 or presentations.

.30-06.

Even in long-range games where the Magnum ought to shine, it is eclipsed by the 7RM (or exotic 6.5mms) which has much better BC's for approximately the same muzzle velocity.

I already knew what that phrase was used for, but thanks for the lesson. I was joking with kg, it should have been pretty obvious once I started talking about the 14 Flea(no offense to 14 Flea shooters)

Well, it's been said, but an '06 Mauser works just fine.

Taken at a measured 173 and 128 yards...

Guess if you are hunting Texas deer from a stand on the Texas deer farms, a 30-30 would be OK. But if you are hunting deer and elk in the Rocky Mountains, a 300 Win Mag is pretty good. So is a 30-06 if you can shoot it OK! Your 98 mauser is as good as the M-77 if you can shoot it and reload all of your ammo!
