I shoot AR15 in several calibers. Recently saw 2 companies, Falkor and Noreen, that offer .30-06, .300 Win Mag, and 7mm Mag in AR platform. They are pretty pricey, was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with these.
My first deer rifle was 30-06 and still have a couple of bolt guns in it. Appreciate any input that will help me decide.

Yes, the Noreen lower is one that I have in 5.56 and they make a lower for 30-06. Pretty large and heavy for a hunting rig.

Picked up the Noreen stripped lower to build a 5.56 pistol - Colt 6945 upper on it. Noreen is a local outfit out of Belgrade, MT.

Wonder which pattern long frame AR they added 4mm more to the mag well to make those work?

That will limit the number of uppers that cam be clapped on.

Calling things "AR" get confusing when the magwell size--for 45mm or 51mm long cases--is not specified, adding in 61mm will be a further confusion.

I haven't seen, nor heard of them. But I'd bet they are going to be HEAVY. It's hard to get a 308 AR style rifle under 10 lbs scoped. One in 300 WM would have to be considerably heavier I'd think. To me, a semi-auto just works best in smaller, cartridges. For the big stuff I'll keep my bolt guns.

If you want a semi auto 30-06 buy a Garand. Beautiful rifles with a very mild recoil. They are a little heavy but our WWII infantry seemed to be very fond of them despite there weight.

The 308 was developed to be a shorter round with very similar ballistics to the 30-06 which has better extraction characteristics for semi auto and full auto rifles. Going from 30-06 to 308 you loose very little ballisticly and an AR10 will probably be cheaper and have much more spare part availabilty.
