IMR4064 gives me one hole groups out of my 1903A4 with Hornady 168 grain match bullets. Varget has a following in matches too. Didn't exist when I worked up my load though.
IMR4064 is fine for an M1 rifle. It gives more consistent accuracy than IMR4895 with all suitable bullets. That'd be 150's to 175's. The rifle was not designed to use .30 M2 152 grain bullet ammo.
Well, I picked up a lb of Varget and will give it a try. Unfortunately it's way to cold to shoot right now and I might have to wait a while before I test the ammo. I would have also picked up some 4064 but Cabela's was out of it.
