Has anybody loaded a spire point bullet ifor a 30 Carbine Blackhawk? I have a couple hundred Hornady #3010 110 gn spire points I'd like to try, have no other use for them. I haven't found any load data for them. Twist rate is 20-1. Haven't tried them in a 30 Carbine seater die yet.

the 30 carbine seater die may deform the spire tips. I wonder if you can swap one out from another die set? the part that pushes the bullet and seats it.

you can start with some data for similar bullet weghts and work up slowly.

Yes, might be able to swap the seating stem, say from a 308 die. The seating stems in the Lee dies are probably interchangeable.

I have shot 110 spire points in both my Blackhawk 7 1/2" and my Automag III. The lead portion is squashed in my RCBS die but they shoot fine. I have no chrono info though.

Load them down from the roundnose data and work up. My Blackhawk binds the cylinder when the loads get too hot.
