Has anyone used this combination and if so what is a good starting point for a medium velocity load. I went to the Barnes website and the powder selection was limited to only two choices neither one of them are in my inventory. In my Barnes manual the 110 grain bullet is not even listed.
The powders I have on hand are:
WIN 748 WIN 760 VARGET IMR 4064 RELOADER 15 H4895 H 335 BL-C(2)
Primers are :
WIN LARGE RIFLE WIN MAG LARGE RIFLE

Any help would be greatly apreciated thanks in advance.

From the IMR/Hogdon Powder Site:
http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Cartridge Information
300 Winchester Magnum
Case: Winchester
Barrel Length: 24"
Twist: 1:10" Trim Length: 2.610"
Primer: Winchester LRM

Cartridge Load Data
110 GR. SPR SP

Code:
Powder OAL Start(gr) V(fps) P(psi) MAX(gr) V(fps) P(psi)
IMR4064 3.215"   65.0     3,424    50,600  ||  70.0     3,669     62,100

QL actually thinks the Starting Load is a 90% case fill w/ 98% burn.
Surprised me as I wasn't expecting anything to really work.
(Beware the jump to lands re accuracy, though -- no free lunch)

Never loaded that combo, but I have loaded 300wm w/ 125gr Nosler BT's over a max charge of Varget per Hodgdon's data. Accurate load and smoking velocity (+/-3,500 fps).

Thank you gents I stored Hodgegons site to my favorites bar didnt have that one.
This is sort of an oddball load but since I had a hundred or more of these 110s sitting around id play with a COYOTE/HOG load that might be a little more kind to my shoulder than the 180s. Once I load a rough sampling ladder and see if they are somewhat accurate ill post the results.
