Made up a dummy round to check my chamber in the new to me 300wm sendero.
2.951” is lands. I’m calling it 2.950”
3.515coal.
This fits in my box magazine plenty
This is with 220gr Sierra match kings. I’m going to probably jump 30 thousands off that ogive measurement when I start doing some loading.
Who’s running a 300 win mag and 220s? I’m
Planning on h4831, but I also got some n160 to try. I would like 2800-2850fps. But I want more accuracy being these will be for range play. I’ve got 190s coming also to try. And I got 180 accubonds to load for any kind of hunting I may want to do.
What say you fine group?

Had good look with the low range of data in 180s and 190s with Reloder22 in a Savage. If I remember correctly, the two powders on the list i wanted to try were H4831 and IMR4350. Never got to it though, moved on to other projects. Dont know if that helps much.

A little slower powder probably be better, like the H1000 @TEXASJD mentioned or my favorite IMR7828.

2800 may be possible with 220gr in a 26" barrel, but you'll be hard pressed to get there with 4831 and that weight, never tried N160 in my rifles so can't comment there.
The 4831 will work decent with the 180s you're planning, any heavier, in my experience with this cartridge, you're going to want to be a bit slower on the burn chart

Ditto on H1000. I hunt with 200's and have loaded and shot some 220's just for comparison. There wasn't any acuracy difference at 100yds. Rl 22 and 23 work fine, so does H4831 and H4350, but H1000 has been most accurate. I have Retumbo waiting for me to get around to testing and will probably load some 220eldx with it.

I don't know if this does/will apply to your future loads, but... I have a Winchester Model 70 Magnum in .300 WinMag that I could not get to shoot as well as I wanted. I bought it many years ago for an unplanned moose hunt at the last minute. I also bought a small fortune's worth of premium factory ammo so I could find a good load for the trip. Some grouped OK, some gave terrible groups, and nothing was excellent (I ended up killing a moose with a PMC ElDorado Barnes X-bullet load).

After the hunt, I started working up hand loads for the rifle with various 180gr. bullets. Still, no satisfying results were achieved despite trying lots of combinations. It wasn't until I tried loading with standard large rifle primers rather than magnum primers that I finally achieved the excellent groups I had hoped for. I was surprised and happy.

I have a Rem 700 LR and X-bolt Pro LR , both in 300wm. The X-bolt has a 1/8 twist , the 700 has a 1/10, both shoot 200gr bullets very well, but when I get around to testing the 220gr, I'm betting that the Rem is not gonna stabilize them out as far the X-bolt will. Where will they diverge?
I'm guessing not until past 500yds, hopefully I get that testing done soon, but this is a really busy time of year for me.
My point is, for hunting at closer ranges, a 220gr is fine, but if you are planning to shoot ELR (800yd+) with that Sendero, I'm gonna bet you have better groups with 200 or 180's.
Just for reference, here are targets from both of my guns at 100yds with 200eldx and H1000. Except for taking 4 shots with the Rem in this pic, the groups are pretty similar and repeated in both guns, so I'm confident any difference I see at longer range is gonna be due to twist rate:

I can get n560 or maybe n165. But my powder options are limited local. I don’t have anyone within about 200miles one way to look for others. I’d like some
H1000 or retumbo. But hard pressed to find
