There are differences. Hornaday sells .311 and Sierra has some .312. Your gun may like one better than the other.

I shoot a lot of the PPU in my mosin and Argentine Mauser.
I've been shooting a lot of the Speer Hot-Cor lately. I've been doing about 3/4 MOA with my loads out of a Mosin Nagant 91/30. They also produce them in a 180 grain, they just never seem to be available when I'm placing an order.

Another vote for Speer, PPU, but preferably Hornady.
Grafs is the best source.
They had a proprietary Hornady special run of 174gr .312” BTHP match bullets.
They are unauthentic most accurate bullets in either my #4Mk1 Enfield, and Russian Modin Nagant.
Absent the Hornady, my second favorite is the PPU 180gr BtSpt.

I have some of the PPU 150 grain, which I had loaded up for a ladder with IMR4895, I just haven't had the chance to get them out to the range. When I was ready to go out for a range day with them, Arizona started fire restrictions for the areas I shoot, the day before I was ready to load up the truck. The 3/4 MOA is with the Speer 150s and N-135. Using AA2495, I'm right at about 1 MOA.
I also have some Hornady Interlocks in 150 and 174 grains, which I have yet to load up, and also a couple boxes of Hornady 174 grain FMJBT. I was originally sticking to the Speer 150s because it was a load that has proven itself on the range, since I was hoping to give it a try for deer or elk season, but didn't get lucky enough to draw.
