this is my first attempt at reloading 308 win. this is also my first time using stick powder. using Hornady 150 gr Interlock SP (Non-Boat tail) No. 3031 with IMR 4064. i have not found any data with this combo and been referencing 150 gr FMJ data from the lee handbook and other sources. starting load is 43 gr to 47.7 gr C. I know the COAL is listed at 2.8 for fmj but I seat the interlocks at 2.750 (middle cannelure).

anyone using this combo? seems to be a popular bullet and powder but no data that i could find... what are your experiences?

I have not shot any and have loaded up 45 gr, 45.5 gr and 46 gr. by the looks of it it's going to be slightly compressed at 46 gr with this bullet seating depth. what do you guys think? back off? I might just leave it at 46 gr and just load a 44.5 gr instead of 46.5 gr. i know you have to work up a load but just want to load it and have on hand if the need arises. thanks.

The Lyman Reloading Manual 49th Edition has Hornady 150 sp IMR 4064 at 43 to 48c 2.735 oal. You should be alright

46.5 gr and 47 gr has powder in the case neck. I did not load these. is this normal for compressed loads?

thanks for sharing, stopped at 46 grs. testing for most accurate...
