308 Suggestions

Ok, this won't happen anytime soon, but after I get back from "The Sandbox" I want a new a rifle. I owned, and really liked an FAL, but it was too long for my short stubby arms, so away it went. I've now seen that DSA is offering an AR-15 stock adapter unit for paratrooper lowers. An adjustable LOP like that of the AR collapsible stocks *might* be able to get the FAL to fit me better. AR-15s fit me well, but I would prefer gas piston operation. I know there are several piston operated AR uppers in 223/5.56, but are there any in .308? I've handled HKs and they just dont "feel right" to me. I've yet to handle, but do find Browning's BAR and BLR to be appealing. What else should I look at in magazine fed lever or bolt action 308? Take you're time it'll be a while before I'm back (haven't even left yet, but soon).

Krebs, robinson, and lmt make them. Also , do not over look these. cold pour hammer forged chrom lined bbls, i have 3 of them and they are all moa capable,
