Hopefully this being available motivates Ruger to do a .32 H&R Mag LCR. Would be cheaper and lighter than the .327 LCR is.

What’s the price tag?
MSRP $759 on Lipsey's site.

But don't hold your breath. Seems like a Lipsey exclusive, which means it's an "allocated" item. Allocated items are sent out to Lipsey dealers who do high volume and get on a list and wait. Your local LGS might see one of these in a year. And they will inevitably end up on GunJoker selling for a few hundred over list.

I'll wait for a plain-jane .32 H&R version from S&W, with the normal sights, regular grips and regular everything else. Same exact performance as the special edition eye candy, frankly.

Actually, neither. Same size cylinder, only short chambered, for the same 6 shots. There is zero incentive for them to do that, as the .327 will fire .32 H&R. As far as "cheaper" goes... we're talking Ruger here, King of the Overpriced Polymer Revolver. Not a chance.

The aluminum LCRs all seem to go for $100 less and would weigh 5oz less.

Most people on these forums are not shooting .327 thru their .327's, instead opting for extra hot .32 Mag

Got a Ruger .327 LCRx and CA .32 in this house. The loaded weight difference isn’t really that significant. I can’t imagine Ruger straying from their current commitment to .327 across their line up of revolvers.

They do a Bisley Single Six in .32 H&R and the only other revolver that makes sense to have the .32 H&R in is the LCR.

But hey, if they want Smith, Charter, and eventually Taurus to be offering .32 H&R in an ultralight snub, their loss.

You think Taurus would alter the chamber cuts to limit their 327s to .32 H&R? They didn't even scale down the 327 cylinder diameter and frame height from 856 dimensions. The 6-shot 327 is still sized the same as a 6-shot 856.

Which makes me think, why didn't Taurus make the 327 on the 605 cylinder and frame size? It's almost as if they don't want to change their tooling to turn those smaller cylinder 5-shooters into .327 6-shooters.

This “Ultimate Carry” J-frame has quite a few improvements incorporated into it besides the re-introduction of .32 H&R Mag: trigger, both front and rear sights, titanium firing pin, grips, chamfered chambers, etc. So will these show up in the S&W lineup?

I had the LCR and carried it for a while but the reset was WAY to long and light. My wife could not help but short stroke it and I would too if I wasn't thinking about it. Good gun but I ended up trading it off.

Interested in this one.

I have to admit, I’m excited to see a new revolver in 32 H&R magnum. All the 32’s have become my favorite caliber as my hands get older. The option of 327 would be convenient but I find that round much more pleasant in a bigger frame although I still run a cylinder through one of my LCR’s from time to time.

Now to decide which one to pre-order and wait 12 months to get…..

Don't really care about 32 H&R magnum. I don't see it selling well outside of a smaller niche audience, but I see the 38 p+ being a hit. My only issue is I'm not sure they're worth it at $700 when I can get a used 340pd for around the same price.

I have three .327 Magnum revolvers - two LCRs and a stainless S&W J-frame.

Firing .327 Magnum in the LCRs is like shooting .38 Special in a lightweight revolver. It's snappy but not that bad.

Firing .32 H&R Magnum in the LCRs is an absolute pleasure.

I'm glad to see a resurgence of interest in .327 and .32 magnum.
