Hi guys.

I'm curious if anyone can point me in the right direction of a good source for cast lead or possibly plated bullets for .32 caliber. I've looked at my normal ordering places but don't seem to be finding cast for much cheaper than jacketed. These would be loaded in a 327 Federal Mag.

I've got jacketed bullets but I'm thinking from a cost standpoint that I'm willing to try cast (first time). I understand by looking over a few manuals/load charts that lead diameters are usually .001 to .002 larger than jacketed diameter specs. That was confusing at first! Any help would be appreciated.

327 cast data is going to be somewhat scarce being a new very high pressure cartridge.

Good thing is you can shoot 32h&r as well as 32s&w long. Both of wich take to cast like a duck to water. Plus brass is a great deal cheaper for the long with almost no powder used.

I like wadcutters and have had great results from Quality cast thus far.http://www.qualitycastbullets.com/bullets

Check with mastercastbullets.com.

Also, I've bought .30 Carbine cast bullets at MidsouthShootersSupply.com (Magnus brand) and they have several weights and diameters. (not sure if you want .312 or .309's.)

Mastercast Bullets has a 78gr Hard Cast and 100gr Hard Cast bullet for $36 and $40/1000 respectively. Don't let the price fool you, I have use Mastercast bullets and they make a very good product. (~20 BHN) Mike the owner is a good guy too.

I did a quick check on the MasterCast site, didn't see 32 lead. I'm guessing a call is necessary. Thanks all for the input.

Evan, how do you like the Taurus?

*Spoke too soon, I must have been on an old page of theirs, clicked archangelcd's link after replying. I'll definitely give them a call. Thanks guys.

For full power loads, Cast Performance makes 113 gr FP/Gas check that works great in the 327. For mid range and target loads I use Rim Rock bullets 125 gr Lead SWC, it also works good. Hodgdon Powder has data for lead bullets as well as jacketed on its online reloading site.:)
