My wife has a S&W J frame revolver chambered for .32 H&R magnum, which ammunition is extremely hard to find and expensive (20 $ for 20 rds) for a pistol. My question is, would it be alright to shoot .32 S&W long and short through it? I asked someone at Bass Pro Shop and he said it would be fine, but he seemed preoccupied and hurried off after answering, so I did not get the greatest confidence from him. Thank You

Yes, the 32 S&W and 32 S&W long can be fired in a 32 H&R magnum chamber. You may need to clean the chambers after shooting the shorter cases to remove residue before shooting the magnum rounds.

I shoot 32 acp out of mine as well. What s&w model do you have?? I love them.

Will, consider getting into reloading. It is an easy cartridge to reload for. Byron

Yep. Easy and cheap to load for. I load plinking rounds for my little Taurus .32 Mag. I would love a Smith Mod 16, but folks are so proud of them.

.32 h&r magnum ammo

Try Georgia Arms for 1,000 fps jhp's $20 or so for 50 rounds... I load my Ruger "Baby Vaquero" Single six 4 5/8" bbl with them... best kit gun I ever had!
