.32 S&W Long die to seat .32 aCP?

I'm having a tough time getting dies to reload .32 ACP. Simple question for anyone who might know:

Can I use an RCBS seater/taper crimp die for .32 S&W long to seat and taper crimp a .32 ACP?

The case length dimensions are not that different and I have located a .32 S&W Long die but .32 ACP dies are gonna be a long time coming. I'm inclined to try it but I thought I'd ask.

No.

There is a considerable difference in case length between the .32 S&W Long and the .32 ACP.
Like .680" vis .920", or nearly 1/4" inch.

In addition, even if it would work?

The .32 S&W Long is a revolver cartridge, and the seating die applies a roll-crimp.

The .32 ACP is an auto-pistol cartridge, and uses a taper-crimp.

Thanks for the quick reply, rcmodel. The RCBS die I'm looking at specifically states that it taper crimps for the .32 S&W long. They make a different die to roll crimp which I would never do to a .32 ACP.

The issue is not the type of crimp at all since the die in question will produce a taper crimp.
The more important issues are related to case length.
Will the .32 long die crimp the shorter case at all?
Can the bullet seating die be adjusted to seat a bullet in the shorter cases?

All information is valuable to me - I'm working up .32 ACP loads so it's nice to know others are still pushing and experimenting with .32 caliber stuff.

I guess the only way to know is to spring for the .32 S&W Long seating die and try it as .32 ACP dies of the type I need are pretty much out of stock everywhere I look.

So if it dun't work I'll maybe have to grind her down or...whatever.

Solved. I ordered a set of .32 ACP dies with taper crimp die (4 dies total) from CH4D and they'll be here next week. I have done a little (not exhaustive) research on CH4D and feel they are a better bet than waiting an indeterminate period of time for an RCBS die set or buying a Lee set which I simply do not want.

Fingers crossed - By the way, RCBS verified what rcmodel said exactly. No, the .32 S&W long die for seating/taper crimp will not work for .32 ACP.
