I've heard of some people target shooting with the 32 S&W Long caliber. What guns are/were manufactured in the caliber that are what you call a "target" gun. All I have seen are little short barreled small revolvers, except one.

The ONLY one I know of would be the Smith model 16. Are there any more if a person got interested in target shooting with the 32?

Colt built some Officer's Model Target .32s in the late 1930s. They sold their inventory to a National Guard outfit at the outbreak of WWII. Things didn't get desperate enough to go to war with .32s, so about 40 years later J&G sold them off from VG to NIB. They are of course scattered all over now, but you might turn one up.

Manurhin made a .32 match revolver, too, though it's likely even than even the K-32/M16.

The most accurate "target" match pistols in the world are chambered for 32 long wadcutter.

Pardidi, hammerli 280, walther GSP ect

posted via that mobile app with the sig lines everyone complains about

The .32s are pretty well standard for international centerfire at 25 meters, but seem not to have made it to the 50 yard line for NRA matches to amount to much.

I was fortunate enough to find a Manurhin in .32 Long, but it is built in the Sport configuration, not the Match. It truly has a fantastic double action trigger pull. Of course you could shoot .32 Long in any revolver chambered in .32 H&R Magnum or the new .327 Federal.

S&W made the very first revolver in .32 S&W Long, their first hand ejector, in a target version with adjustable sights. So target use of the .32 S&W Long is almost as old as the cartridge itself.

The revolver I sold to a S&W collector was an I frame target gun and it was into the four figures...........these guns are incredibly accurate and as incredibly expensive

Not a Smith or double action but I recently got a Ruger Single-Six in 32 mag. The thing loves 98 or 100 grain 32 long wadcutters. With my elbows braced it will keep under 2 inch groups at 50 yards if I am having a good day. I don't know if it would please a serious bullseye shooter but for fun and carefull plinking it is satisfying.

Most accurate revolver I've ever had...
