327 LCR soot in your face?

I can't comment for other people but I've shot hundreds of rounds thru my 2 LCRs in 327 and haven't had an issue.

I can echo this post as I have the LCR and the LCRX in 327 and have not had that happen. I do shoot much more 32 magnum than 327 though. Watched the video and checked my two and did not have near that much play in my cylinders. The 32 magnum is my round of choice.

Secondly, why take any review seriously by someone who handled a gun a little, shot it once then decided to tell everyone about it?
Anyway, you’ll get better info from the folks on here than from that YouTube guy.

Caliber shouldn't matter.
What will matter is if the barrel-cylinder gap is too great, or if there is a cylinder / barrel forcing-cone misalignment.
I've had a cheap revolver "shave lead" and bang my hand. Misalignment is dangerous. Once blew the forcing cone of another cheap Spanish revolver.

GOOD! Because I just bought the same rig. Plan to shoot .32 H&R mags from it. They appears to be the sweet spot in the .32 world for snubbies.

not with my LCR 327 either --and I shoot full power 327fm loads with cast.

Let us know how many full power loads you shoot thru the LCR and if you can still hold a pencil afterwards.

Rattly transfer bars are common in Ruger guns, I think most of my Ruger revolvers have that tendency.

Have two of them. No problems. Several hundred through both.
Very very little .327.
Shoot .32 mag and .32 S&W Long.
Could be a combination. Kinda sloppy cylinder plus slow magnum powder in his .327 ammo.
I didn't hear him mention the other caliber s it chambers.
His wife would probably love the gun with .32 mag ammo. Mine does. Because she's never fired it with .327 ammo and would hate it if she did.

He needs to get some .32 mag and Long ammo.

Not a huge LCR fan, but FWIW my 4.6" Single Seven hasn't been a spitter. To be honest, I mostly shoot it with .32 H&R handloads, but the full magnum loads are a real blast -- literally! Fun, but too much flash for my tastes.
It is a tiny bit more accurate than my Single Six Vaquero in .32 H&R however.
On the subject of .32s, I just did my semiannual CCW requalify last week and rediscovered how much I enjoy shooting my SP101 in .32 H&R. I was shooting it better than either of my .38 S&W J-frames, though it has been my experience that when ejecting spent cases I have to hold the muzzle straight up or at least one case rim will slip under the extractor and tie things up.

I've been trying to develop some +P loads for the 32 H&R for a snubby, in my case the LCR.
Could you share some of your 32 H&R recipes?

I could only find my 700x load of 3.0 gr with a 100 gr cast bullet averaging 850 fps.
I really thought I had a 3.5 gr Titegroup load but I can't find that in my notebook.
The LCR smacks primers well so I can use CCI or whatever I want.
I would like some .327 Fed brass because as you can tell by the numbers even a .32 magnum +p+ is at best slightly ahead of .380 acp. A full-power .327 load can do 9x19 things.
Cartridges become less popular and "dead" is over-used but I have to say, when you can't find .327 even using an ammo search engine, nor is anyone making BRASS for it...it's probably safe to announce the demise of the cartridge.

Has the 327 and to a lesser extent to 32 H&R become relics or has supply simply not kept up with demand?

My usual .32 H&R handload is a light gallery load: a 98 grain HBWC seated flush over 3 grains of Trail Boss. This load has become my rimfire alternative/substitute.
I use swaged pure lead bullets from Lapua, resized down to .309" before loading -- I found this was a convenient way to avoid damage to the thin skirt of the hollow base during seating. I bought a second 1K order of these bullets from Midway a few months ago.

I tried loading some hotter stuff with AA9 and IMR 4227, but I didn't stay with those powders long enough to find their sweet spots for accuracy. For these loads I used Hornady 85 grain .32 hollowpoint bullets ...

... but once I found a couple boxes of Hornady Critical Defense ammo in .32 H&R I put my own +P experiments to the side and haven't got back to them.
BTW, I would not rush to opine that a relatively-new cartridge like .327 Federal is dead in a time of ammo scarcity. Right now .38 Special ammo is hard to find in local stores -- I know because I needed just one box of factory ammo for my CCW requalification and I hit four gunshops before finding any on sale. At present Starline's website has most of their brass on backorder, including relatively popular stuff like .30 Carbine and .44 Special.
I'm not sure at what point a cartridge dies or becomes a relic, but I don't think .327 Federal is there yet. Ruger's website shows 11 revolvers in .327 on their online catalog, and Lipsey's lists another 10 firearms by Henry, Charter and Taurus in .32 H&R or .327 Federal. There will be more ammo available to feed them. These are niche chamberings that I doubt will ever make the top ten bestseller list, but .32 H&R has hung on after being orphaned by firearm manufacturers at least once and .327 is still punching. Compared to most of the old milsurp cartridges I reload, the .32 H&R and .327 Federal are downright mainstream.

I think the latter. I was supprised a few months ago when a box of 500 32 H&R brass showed up from a backorder last winter, from Starline. I'm glad I had bought 500 327s when those 32s were backordered. I usually use 2400 powder.

Even before Covid I think the 32 H&R was getting hard to find in 50 round boxes. The 327 seemed to be made at a certain time of the year. It appears that the only ammo available for either is personal defense rounds at over $1 per round. Glad I bought in bulk back three years ago.
