I'm looking at picking up a Ruger Blackhawk in .327 magnum. I've never seen one in person, nor shot one. How loud is the .327 in a Blackhawk? Is it as loud as .30 carbine?
One time I was at the range and a guy next to me was shooting a Blackhawk in .30 carbine, and boy, that sucker was LOUD! Even with earmuffs and earplugs, the blast was atrocious.
I want a fun plinker, not a scorcher like the .30 carbine. I'm wondering if the .327 is more pistol than I want. I have plenty of .357s and .44 magnums if I want more power.
Thanks,
-John
