.35 Whelen AI

Hey everyone. I have been lured in by the .35 whelen and now am planning on getting a Handi-rifle for it. However I like the extra 300-400 ft/lbs the AI gives it. However, the reason I ask is I heard that a T/C encore could not shoot normal .35 whelen after being reamed, I know different gun, but both are single shots. Could a Handi-rifle shoot both and shoot both accurately after being reamed?

If I remember correctly and someone will be along shortly to correct me. P.O. stated that to make the AI version all there was to do is fire the factory ammo in his chamber.

The nice thing is that you can form any of ackley's improved cartridges from firing factory ammo in the ai chamber. As to 300-400 fps gain-you'll be sorely disappointed in whelen size bullets.

I know I will only get 100-150 Ft/sec. I was referring to lbs of energy.

a .35 whelen AI is going to be a monster in a handi rifle, that is going to flat out beat you up.

If you want a really fun combo, find a rem 7600 in the .35 whelen and get that re chambered. That would be worth doing, as would a model 700, but a handi rifle? PLease, you would have more in the gunsmithing than in the value of the gun.
