Has anyone tried the Hornady LEVERevolution in their .356 Winchester handloads? I haven't done any experimenting with loads for my Big Bore '94 for maybe 6-7 years. LEVERevolution bullets weren't out back then. Thinking about trying them out.

I see no reason they won't work.

But they are longer then normal FP or RN lever-gun bullets of the same weight.

Hornady gets around that little problem by trimming the cases shorter then standard length so they will feed through a lever-action.

You might have to do the same to retain the max 2.560" OAL length that will work through a big-bore 94 action, and still be able to crimp in the bullets crimp cannulure for the tube magazine.

See this about that:

Thanks rcmodel. I think I'll give it a whirl. I've tried to get the 180gr Speers to group well without much luck. Maybe my particular rifle will like a little heavier (longer) bullet.
