Yeah. You can make your own from .30-30's. I do it. Pretty easy.
Need to shorten your cases .200. I use a trimmer that has had the crank handle replaced with a cap screw. I drive it with a drill. Trims a case in maybe 10 seconds. Do NOT do it by hand. Turns into work in a hurry.
I expand the necks in two steps. Use Rooster CFL (case forming lube). Works better than Imperial Sizing Wax.
Anneal the necks (see Varmint Al's website) and you're ready to load. Actually sounds much harder than it is. Trust me. I HATE tedious work. This really is cool. Plus, how many guys do you know that make their own cases?

I am glad to hear of a fellow 357 Herret shooter. I bought a Herrett load manual, which has a good explanation of how to make Herrett brass from a 30/30 case. I have only loaded Hornady's 357 158 grain JHP.
I would appreciate any info on this cartridge that y'all can get me. I did find some brass at Buffalo Arms for about a buck a piece. Bought them so I would have a good reference. Also found a new set of Thompson/Center 357 Herrett dies I didn't remember buying many years ago for $17.50
