I know that Ruger built a Blackhawk model chambered in .357 Maximum, but were/are there any lever guns chambered for it? Is there enough bolt travel to allow for re-chambering a .357Mag/ .38spl levergun to utilize a .357Max cartridge? Even a revolver rifle/carbine in .357Max would be nice.

Its not the bolt travel, it is the head spacing off the rim that SHOULD allow for rechambering. The wildcard is will your barrel handle the increased pressure. They do it quite often in the T/C Contender world. The only drawback is the exiting reamer tooling is so precise, ie taper in throat, that you are pretty much limited to shooting only .357max if you want to maintain accuracy. For a a lever gun you might be looking at custom tooling in which case they could blend a less aggressive forcing cone to allow you to use .38/.357mag. Custom tooling would be cost prohibitive to most. You could always load hot magnums or sleep well at night knowing the .357 magnum performs way better out of rifles with no b/c gap.

None of the pistol caliber leveractions are capable of handling maximums length.

Pressure shouldn't be an issue as the maximum is only nominally higher than 357mag and would produce much less bolt thrust than 44mag that the platforms are also chambered for.

I have a 357 maximum TC encore rifle as a companion to my other 357's performance is good but its no 35 Remington a cartridge for wich you can buy a levergun for.

My maximum

On the subject of 357 max... (sorry to borrow your thread)

I've got a bunch of Maximum brass, but no gun to shoot them in, from an inheritance.

Well, by a bunch, I mean, maybe 50 or 100. (Haven't counted).

Can I trim these down to 357 Mag? Or would I be better off selling them? I have tons of 357 mag brass already and it seems kind of a waste to convert them to something more.. common.

357 mag brass is so common there's no point. Find someone who wants 357 Max brass and sell it to them.
