I gotta wonder if that Ruger with the 7 rounds stuck down the barrel had the leading bullet protruding before they reloaded.
 
Sorry, I don't remember - It was back in the early 80's when I saw it. Must have been close. Maybe that was all that would fit and he fired the whole second cylinder full as well:banghead:
 
Havok, I assume that since copper creates more friction that the lead might just slide through vs get stuck hence my guess that jacketed are more apt to get stuck.

What you mention is a real problem also- light loading jacketed or plated bullets to lead bullet starting loads or below, that end up stuck in the barrel. (plated wadcutters are the worst culprit)

Squibs are when the primer ignites, but powder does not ignite, or is not present, and the primer places the bullet in the barrel, lead or copper covered.
