I shot a 10 point buck this week with my 358 Winchester. I’m always interested in how different cartridges and bullets perform. This time I was using the 180 grain Barnes ttsx. I’m not sure the velocity, but my 200 ttsx load is just under 2600 fps. The deer was shot just over 100 yards. The first shot was a spine shot, and he dropped in his tracks. I shot him again straight through the center of his chest from the bottom to his spine. I was shocked this (the second shot) remained in him, just under the skin by his spine.
