i've been working on this one in my spare time for the last couple of months and its just about finished.
the receiver is a rail marked oberndorf, bolt handle is a square shank oberndorf from sound metal products, here is a link that shows the reasoning behind the square shank, the bottom metal is also from sound metal products. sights are from necg, barrel band is from talley and the safety is a dakota. the stock is a british express rifle classic from great americans bargain bin, grip cap is a paul dressel & the pad is a galazan period pad. i still need to fit the rear swivel base, fit the cross bolt and install the ebony forend tip, then finish the stock with redoil. i'll start regulating the sights next weekend.
so far i have right at $1100 tied up in it and close to half of that is the bottom metal & sights.
here are a few pic's of it coming together

barrel threaded, chambered & the bolt handle welded on, bolt handle still needs a little bit of shaping.

An old article in Rifle Magazine called the popularity of Mauser sporters the "Gunsmith's Full Employment Program." Good to see a job laid out in steps so the prospects can see what they will be paying for.
