38 S&W Bullets

I'm looking for a supplier of 130 to 160 grain, .360" diameter lead bullets to reload for a 38 S&W revolver. Does anyone know where such a bullet can be purchased? I have found one source (Penn Bullets), but their reputation appears challenged per another thread on THR. http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=355312

Beartooth has 160g FN: www.beartoothbullets.com. Nothing as small as 130g, but several at higher weights.

I think you will also have good luck with .358" HBWC bulllets for the .38 Special.
The hollow base will expand to whatever size it needs to be to fill the throats & bore.

I swage my own bullets for the .38 S&W. They come out of my swaging die at .361", and have been working fine for that caliber. I simply swage 125 grain .38 Special bullets and make them into .38 S&W bullets. I make them into a round nose flat point bullet.

Try stonewall bullet company in LA. They have 158gr sized to .360 and they work great in my 38 S&W.

That is good to hear as I was thinking of trying just this. I have an old Colt Police Positive with a really bad bore and it will not shoot worth a damm with factory ammo. I was going to give it one more chance to preform before it was set to "Dr Fitz" for a little nip and cut.

Along with the 2 bullets "rcmodel" suggested above by the Western Bullet Company I also use their 200gr Lyman #358430 to recreate the old British 38/200 load. That bullets works well but I like their 170gr H&G #512 best. (mentioned above by "rcmodel")

I just completed a run of the 140 gr rnfps at .360 for several customers.
I have some still available if interested. All casters are busy during these times. Those that have no patience or don't understand whats going on in the marketplace I can't help them. There seems to be no problem accepting the fact that primers can take several months to obtain and some like Federal primers won't be seen untill late next year but it's unacceptable to some to have to wait for some orders? Most of our orders leave in a timely fashion with only small percentage that get delayed beyond a normal time frame.

I would suggest you quit while you still have some credibility remaining. Making excuses for poor service gets old very fast.

To ArchAngelCD. I suggest you keep your comments to yourself when you are ignorant of the facts. My credibilty is just fine with over 98% of my customers who have dealt with me for the last 30 years. I just recieved a good review on this forum from a customer that bought the .44 185gr full wadcutters.
You seem to be opposed to someone who wants to set the record straight and speaks the truth to his customers.
I did not endure almost 30 years in the buisness by not telling the truth.
As I have said before..No operation is 100% all the time. I suppose you have removed the delete key from your computer keypad as you obviously never make any mistakes in your life.
