LCP Max? How does it shoot. I've never tried one.

It's an LCP on steroids. I had an LCP Max a year ago that had trigger and ejection issues that Ruger traded me out of into an LC380..great pistol , but just a little larger for deep cover. This one is the 75th Anniversary edition..weighs an ounce more than the LCP and has an improved trigger and stainless slide. Inasmuch as It's a tiny gun it does have pronounced recoil with standard 90gr loads. I utilize the ARX 56 gr ammo in it which mitigates the felt recoil

I shot a .380 LCP into a rotten stump when I first purchased the gun. I was able to dig the bullet out with my fingers and it’s base was visible but not protruding.

It did not excite me. I think out of an LCP it makes sense but I would not want to face an armed attacker if all I had was an LCP. LCP is better than a lot better than a knife and slightly larger. In that role it makes sense.
