I had a woman contact me today wondering if any company made a shotgun in .410 with a camouflage finish. Her son wants one for Christmas.

The closest I could find was a Remington youth model in 20 gauge.

Does anyone know of another model or brand?

Thanks for any replies.

Mossberg has a .410 HD model in all black. A roll of tape, a can of Brown and a can of OD Green spray paint, and about twenty minutes so just about do it.
Scroll to bottom of page for HS410 model

There also the 20 gauge Bantam's
Bantam models

I like the Super Bantam with the adjustable LOP..... My son will be five in a couple of months, might be time to buy one and put it in the back of the safe for him......I'll use the next year or three to break it in for him of course.... :D

Thanks, Scout26. I don't think this woman is up to doing her own camo finish paint job.

I know there are several companies that do top-notch camo finishes, but I'm forgetting their names.

Can anyone recommend a company for this woman? Remember: she's buying a shotgun for her little boy for Christmas. Doesn't get any better than that. ;)

Her son is just ten years old. This is like the "Red Ryder" BB gun from "A Christmas Story."

C'mon. I know there's an outfit that started the camo-finish aftermarket business, and is still recognized as pretty much the industry leader.

I've just lost too many brain cells to remember.

Somebody out there remembers the names of these shops. Do you want a ten year-old kid crying on Christmas morning because he didn't get a .410 in camo? :neener:

I don't think you will find a company that makes a .410 with a camp finish so it would have to be a custom finish .

That means a good deal extra expense so going with a 20ga. might be a better solution. However there are those that will custom finish in camo - for example :

( www.spradlins.net ) may be able to help .

Thanks, mnrivrat. I called Spradlins, but they only do the receiver and barrel, not the stocks.

After more calling around, I found out that the Gander Mountain in Kenosha, WI does a polymer camo finish for $189. Seeing as how Robar wants nearly $500, I think that's the best option for this woman.
