.410 Skeet Loads

I've reloaded other gauges for years but never 410. I'll be loading 2.5" AA hulls both old type and HS. What is your favorite 410 powder? Why is it your favorite? Thanks

I use Winchester 296 or Hodgdon H110 for both 3" and 2 1/2" shells. Another powder to consider for the 2 1/2" shells would be Hodgdon Lil-Gun.

I've found that Lil' Gun seems to have more consistent drops (and seems to be cleaner) through my Mec 600JR, then either H110, or Alliant's 410. I have not tired 2400 or Win 296.

Remember you have to use the proper wads for the old AA (WAA41-white or clear) vs. the new AA HS hulls (WAA410HS-red wads)

H110 and Win 296 or the same powder so no need to try them both. Can't remember the name of the company that makes it for them but each company just slaps there own sticker on the bottle.
