I just recently purchased a Taurus Raging Bull .44 Mag. and would like to start shooting reloads but i'm new at this and wondered what bullet, powder and primers would be good to shoot from this gun. I'll be using it for target and hunting. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I have a Ruger Super Redhawk. I shoot 240-grain lead hardcast semi-wadcutters. I use Winchester large pistol primers because they work for Magnum or non-Magnum applications (I don't have to stock two different large pistol primers that way).
Brass is range brass.
I load 9.7 grains of Titegroup but it is a fast powder and not the best for the .44 mag, but it does fine for target loads for me.
I tried #9 but it takes more than double the powder and didn't seem to be any more accurate or superior in any way I can detect.

I figure for $5 a box of 50 mine are good enough for me.

The raging bull is a stoutly built .44, should be able to handle about any reasonable .44mag load you throw at it.

The classic powder for .44mag is 2400. For full power loads, it works very well. If you load down to lower pressures, it doesn't burn completely. I have been playing with trail boss under a 240g lswc for low recoil 'girlfriend' loads with good results. H110 and W296 are worth a try as well.

I don't use small charges of fast powder in large revolver cases. The best way to prevent a double charge is to use a load where a double charge won't fit in the case.

I'm with Evan on the Win large pistol primers, always worked well for me.

I use 2400 and Hornady 240g XTP's for a hunting load. For practice and plinking I use a hard cast 240g SWC and Unique. For top end loads only H110 is the berries as well, follow directions on working it up though.

I found that my most accurate and pleasant loads are made with Winchester-231 under Speer 240-grain JHPs.

For fun, where maximum blast and flame are appreciated, nothing beats a huge amount of Hodgdon-110 under a 200-grain bullet. ;)

My 6.5" S&W 29 Classic really shoots well using 5-6 grains of Red Dot/240 cast SWC's for target work, and 23.5-25 grains H110/WW296 and a variety of cast and jacketed 240 grainers, and cast 250's for some serious thumping.

Muzzle velocity with these heavy loads is around 1380 fps, so my chronograph tells me.

If that 44 mag RB is anything like the 454 Casull RB I fired, it should be very mild and accurate. I was shocked how tame the recoil from the 454 Casull RB was, even with stout, full power ammo.

I use a cast GCSWC (Lyman 429244) which weighs out to 265g using WW. My powder of choice is 22g H110/W296 and a WLP primer.

Admittedly it's not the do-all-end-all, world's most powerful round, but pigs and deer can't tell the difference and it's accurate as hell. You can hit the 100 yard gong all day with this round.

For a pleasant plinker/SD round, I cast up a SWC (Lyman 429421) which weighs out at 240g using WW, over 7g of W231/HP38.
