Had a couple people in another thread say the blazers 200grn golddots have more velocity than the std speer 200grn golddots.Speer's websight lists the same velocity.anybody chronoed both?

No chrono, but I have shot both

and can't tell the difference. But I did have a round of the blazer fail to fire, even with repeated strikes. I steer clear of that aluminum junk now and only use the good stuff. I would give up a few fps to get reliable ignition.

I carried the 200gr gold dots in my S&W 629 for two legged critters for a long time. Never had any problems with misfires in the seven years I have been shooting them. I now use them in my Thompson contender for fun plinking loads. If you have a misfire with any factory loaded ammo, write the company and let them know about the malfunction. They will usually send you a box of free ammo. I did this with federal via email and they mailed me a free box of .45 ACP ammo free of charge.
