Hi all. New account here. I have searched to no avail and hoping someone can point me in right direction. I have a new production Henry 45-70 that can handle the marlin loads. I have 300 grain acme powder coated lead flat point and H4198 powder. The only load data I can find for lead bullets are for trapdoor loads. Those loads are 30-35 grains, compared to the modern lever jacketed data of 50-60. Is there any conversion I can do for jacketed to lead data or specified lead data I am not finding? Thank you in advance.

Lyman 50 1886 Winchester and 1895 Marlin data (They have trapdoor-lowest, 1886 + 1895 - mid, Ruger #1+#3-highest)

Didn't realize Lyman 50th had modern lead data. I just ordered the Lyman cast 4th. Sounds like I'm safe to start around 30 range and ladder up to find a sweet spot.

Here's a photo from the Lyman book mentioned earlier....

It's a Henry 45-70 side gate.
