450 BUSHMASTER lead slugs

The cost of the factory loads is killing me. I am looking for a source for something a lot less expensive than the NAME BRAND bullets.
For an AR upper
I dont need the latest premium super expandable slug... I wanna plink!

lee 452 mold, some powder coat and your done.

Pick you favorite polymer coated .452 diameter bullet and load it up.

I like Missouri Bullet Co's hi tech coated bullets. Another economic option would be bulk 230 FMJ.

As others have stated you have the cheap big bore, any .452 45 pistol bullet will function.

Man am I contemplating building an upper in 450 Bushmaster. Problem is, I have a .50 Beowulf that’s shooting great with 350 gr Hornady XTP’s over Reloader 7. Why am I even considering the 450?

The above posts even makes it worse. Now that cheaper bullet options are available it makes the 450 even more enticing.

Its all the fun of 50 Beowulf but much more affordable. Just remember you won't save any money, you'll just shoot more...

I’m a reloader so affordability isn’t much of an issue.

The upper was 199 at Midway.
Couldn't resist.
But the factory stuff is expensive. Can't learn to shoot it if I cant afford it.
And I wanna shoot this one!

Not yet. I have a .50 Beowulf and a buddy just picked up a .450. Gonna work up some loads for him and see how it performs but for under $250 complete from Bear Creek I may grab one for myself.
