If you load 458 Socom on a Dillon (primarily 650/750, 1050, or 1100) and use the Dillon Powder Check with the Dillon Powder Die....the powder die has a lip where the powder funnel with the powder measure sits. Don't need the lip for the powder check, however, that lip is just enough that it contacts the Socom brass just off the taper, making impossible to use the Dillon Powder Check. The trick is to remove that lip from the powder die, either with a dremel or a lathe. Just need to take about .002 off. You need to mark it because once you remove the lip, you cannot use that powder die with the powder measure (the funnel will drop through). When I came across the problem there was zilch anywhere on it, so I figured I'd just drop that here in case somebody else was planning on loading Socom on a Dillon using the powder check.

FYI, I could not get the die backed out enough to have enough adjustment between the probe, and the toolhead contact point to reliable pop for the powder I was using and sub loads, hence the need to have it turned on a lathe, other's might be able to get it adjusted.
