5.45x39 upper?? will it work on 5.56 lower and bolt with carrier?

Will a 5.45 upper work with the bolt/carrier group of a 5.56 and will it fit a lower for 5.56? I'm think I know the answer to the last question.

A 5.45 will require a different BCG (and barrel, so basically an entire upper), but any 5.56 AR lower will take 5.45x39mm AR magazines.

Lower, yes. BCG, everything except the bolt itself will transfer. Are you building or just swapping uppers?

In that case, just get one with the complete BCG and you don't have to worry about swapping parts. Just pin it to your lower and blast away. Then break it down and clean all the corrosive crap out of it .

These are real 5.45 barrels .216 bore and .220 groove 16" light weight(.700/.600) contour, mid length gas system, 8 twist, nitro-carburized barrel inside and out for long life and corrosion resistance that surpasses stainless steel. Muzzle threaded 1/2-28 for common 5.56 flash accessories, bolts are 9310 alloy and have been modified to fire the Russian ammo, just like our 7.62x39 uppers.
